I applied online. I interviewed at Genemarkers (Kalamazoo, MI)
Interview
Quick interview, very straightforward questions, though some were seemingly off topic from my experiences. Was asked if I am willing to work weekends, although was assured that it would not be more than a 40 hour work week.
I applied online. I interviewed at Genemarkers (Grand Rapids, MI) in Feb 2022
Interview
Phone call interview. Mentioned every title on my resume and then said "can you tell me a little bit more about that" yes I can but you can see 4 bullet points listed below.
I asked her about what glassdoor said about the 3 month probationary thing and it's true you don't get health insurance FOR THREE MONTHS. I asked her how new hires are able to combat this and she said they either are on their parents' insurance or their spouses. Unfortunately I am no longer on my parents' insurance and I am not married, and I conveyed that to her and she mentioned I should go on COBRA to which I don't qualify for. This company seems like a pyramid scheme and I cannot imagine they treat their employees well if they don't care about if they can cover their medical expenses while working here.
Did not try to gauge at all how interested I was in the role, no two way street, and barely left time for any questions.
I am so glad they turned me down, dodged a bullet.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Genemarkers (Detroit, MI) in May 2022
Interview
Extremely long first phone screen. Scheduled for 30 minutes, entire call was 90 minutes long.
Second interview over teams about an hour long, asking typical interview questions, work history run-down.
Third interview over teams with owner and marketing team. "A," the owner seemed to not care whatsoever during the process, other team members engaging.
Direct questions to the owner were pawned to the team to answer.
Was asked what marketing efforts I would tackle first, sorry, this is an interview. I am not paid by you yet and have a current position and life that I am tending to, I am not worried about a theoretical "how can I improve this company" mindset.
