Genesee Community College Applications Developer interview questions

I interviewed for an Application Developer position at Genesee Community College. The interview process mainly focused on general and scenario-based questions rather than actual coding questions. During the interview, I was told candidates would receive an update within about a week. After one week, I sent a follow-up email and was told that I was still under consideration and would receive an update within a month. At the end of the month, I sent another follow-up email and received a similar response. This continued for approximately three months. Eventually, I received an email stating that the position would not be filled at the current time. However, a new person appeared on the college website in the Application Developer role. The overall process felt misleading and unprofessional and a waste of time.
