The interview process started with an initial screening where I was asked about my background, experience, and availability. After that, I was asked to create test cases and asked some psychological questions. Overall, the process was smooth and well-organized, and each step gave me a better understanding of the role and the company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Gengo (Miami, FL)
Interview
Completed the Pro test. Passed test, although was challenging. There were no interviews, just the test. It probably took me about an hour to do the test because the example was specifically meant to be challenging with clear "traps". The key is to not do a literal translation and to instead try to interpret the meaning and communicate it as a native would in the target language.
I had to take a written translation test to become a standard translator and a pro translator. It was a fairly short test with a time limit. The test would then be evaluated with feedback provided.
