Interview
Here's what went down for me.
Day 1: go into office and immediately notice that the secretary at the door BLASTS her radio for the entire office to hear. It's already an unprofessional setting where nicki minaj and drake are blasted throughout the entire office. sure, i listen to music that uses profanity but i do that in my own private time where i can separate personal and business settings.
Okay and onto the interview. basic questions, what have you done, what experiences/background do you have that you think will be good for a sales/marketing position, do you feel comfortable in social situations. literally 3 questions and interview is done in 10 mins. i answered honestly and the lady sent me a "congrats" email the same day. At this point I should have already known what was coming.
Day 2: i'm told the interview will be rather lengthy this time around. you think "okay, more questions, maybe involving multiple interviewers." WRONG. they tell you to you will be partnered with someone that works for the company and you'll go on "a drive" and " be out in the field". you walk around for 8 hours in a neighborhood trying to sell AT&T cable programs. if this is what you want, then go for this job but let me tell you, isn't it already questionable when the interviewer only responds "if you pass, you'll find out what the next step in the interview process is for the next part" and it turns out that it's a door-to-door sales job?
So finally we finish at 10pm, I get back to their office and sit down with another upper level manager. He gets together with your "partner" for 5mins out of the room then comes back inside and tells you that you're hired and immediately start TOMORROW. I hope you realize what this is, you get suckered into being hired without a single day to reconsider, you literally have hm..10pm to the following morning to make up your mind.
I turned down the offer, if only I was informed from Day 1, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Don't waste yours unless you want to be the door-to-door commission only salesman.

Interview
Basically this was advertised as a "Manager in Training" position. The first interview was very quick, basic behavioral based questions. It lasted 10 minutes, at the end I was invited for an 8hr job shadow interview. Nobody told me at any point and not until the second interview that it would be 8 hrs of door to door sales. I trudged through 8 hrs or following a salesperson around, and eventually declined to go further in the process. They call it a training program because they want you to do sales for awhile then 'open your own office'.
