      Senior Data Scientist Interview

      4 Oct 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GeoIQ in Sept 2024

      Interview

4 rounds. Round 1- ML technical questions plus coding Round 2- Case study and behavioral Round 3- Technical discussion around Projects Round 4 - Discussion with CEO. It was very weird and upleasant experience. At the end of it, I was not sure if I wanted to work for the company. It was a sermon more than a discussion on what the guy believed and him imposing his thought process. The whole exercise felt more like a fault finding exercise than a genuine attempt to get to know more about the candidate.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

You can prepare well and pass technical stages but it won't matter if your thoughts don't resonate with the leadership. Honestly my experience was good for first 3 rounds and I believe there are good people in the company. Just the CEO interview was a bad experience. But it did make me reflect on the kind of workplace and leadership I would want to work with.
