Basic interview process. They ended up hiring internally, even though they sought out recruitment services through an agency. Interviewers seemed bored of their job, which made the conversations feel more transactional than engaging. Communication through the recruiter was clear, but the overall process felt like a formality rather than an active search for external talent. I appreciated the opportunity to speak with the team, though I would have liked to see more energy and transparency around the role’s direction. Overall, it was a straightforward experience, just not one that felt fully aligned for outside candidates.

Interview
Straight forward questions. Things like: tell us about yourself, tell us your contracting experience, why do you want to work here. The manager is nice and the people in the interview were not intimidating. There were two rounds for me and both interviews only had two people.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Georgia Transmission in Feb 2024
Interview
The interview process for the Assistant Controller position was structured as a panel interview, which initially seemed like a well-organized approach, providing the opportunity to engage with multiple members of the team. During the interview, the atmosphere was positive, and the interaction with the panel members was engaging and seemed promising. The discussion was thorough, covering my qualifications and experiences in depth, which appeared to align well with what the organization was seeking.
Following the interview, I proactively reached out twice via email to follow up on the status of my application. In response to my first follow-up, I received an email from the controller herself indicating that the team was occupied with year-end responsibilities and would revert soon. While I understood the demands of the year-end cycle, it was disappointing that my second follow-up received no response, leaving me in a state of uncertainty.
After more than a month of waiting without any feedback or further communication, I noticed that the position was reposted on LinkedIn. This development was particularly disheartening, considering the positive vibes I received during the interview process and the alignment of my skills with the job requirements.
