I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Gerdau (Jackson, MI) in Nov 2014
Interview
Applied online, phone screen, recorded video interview, personality assessment, on-site interview, and finally a phone screen with corporate HR. There were a lot of steps and were a lot of people involved who were not always on the same page but nothing I didn't expect from a large company. Once I got to meet the people within the company though you could see their enthusiasm and commitment to the company culture.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gerdau (Monroe, MI) in Jun 2019
Interview
Was recommended through a friend. Applied and heard back after a week or so. Process engineers asked some of the basic interview questions as well as my familiarity with more technical concepts on material phase diagrams. Went on a plant tour afterwards. Spoke with the hiring manager for about ten minutes at the end. Heard back later that week.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Gerdau (Monroe, MI) in May 2018
Interview
Casual process. Answered your typical questions, with a huge emphasis on Safety for obvious reasons. Had the opportunity to take a tour with multiple Facilitators/Supervisors, whom asked me several questions along the way and asked about my background and projects I’ve worked on in my spare time. Basically fishing to see if you can handle some long days here and there. Went out for lunch to meet another group of people and other MAs, current and former. Heard back from them within a week.
