      Video Producer Interview

      9 Sept 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GetSetUp in Mar 2021

      Interview

The interview process was not nerve-wrecking at all. They sincerely want to know you and understand your background and how you can contribute to their overall mission. I know that most places say that, but this company actually practices this for real. Because I was interviewing for the Video Producer role, I spoke to the VP of Marketing for the first interview, to get to know each other and explain my background. Then since I was applying for a video producer role, I had to do a test video. I was then scheduled for an interview with the VP of Marketing and the Social Media Marketing Manager (who has turned into my BFF haha!) to discuss brand guidelines and expectations in order to complete the test video. The last phase was once I completed the video and I was scheduled a meeting with the VP of Marketing along with the person that had referred me, which is the Communication Manager to congratulate me on making it through the interview process and for producing a great test video. What I can say about the entire interview process is that as long as you know what you are doing, there are no trick questions to trip you up during your interview. They want to really know what you can bring to the table so feel free to brag a little bit. Show off what you are capable of. If you are a good match, you don't have to worry. There is a place for you here!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I have to be honest, I don't remember exactly what questions were asked during the interview as I was a referral and so it was very laid back and friendly and the person that indicated me already spoke very highly of my work and background so it was straight to the point for the most part, but I do remember a bit of our convo so I have an idea of what must have been the questions asked. Here is what I remember: 1. What are some strategies that you would use improve our presence through video on social media? 2. What experience do you have with video marketing? What did you learn? 3. What do you know about us? 4. Given the fact that we are remote, how can you use our classes and content to create videos that capture our audience? 5. What are tools that are essential to produce great video content for us? 6. How can you track and gauge success in a video campaign? 7. What metrics would you use to analyze engagement?
