There were two rounds of interviews although mine was a contract role. First one with manager was getting to know and second technical with team of 2 engineers. Both of them very friendly and great interview experience

Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Getty Images (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2024
Interview
A recruiter call and then a virtual interview with the hirinig manager. The interview was scheduled twice because the interviewer failed to show up on the first time. The actual interview was him asking me some technical and behavioural questions and a super simple coding for mapping objects to ids (WTF). I did not pass and did not get any response from the recruiter when I asked for feedback.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Getty Images (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2024
Interview
A recruiter contacted me to interview for a role. Prescreening interview was the assignment to write about the search relevance that I've done for various companies in the past, my experience with RESTFul API, etc. That took me 10 hours to write and rewrite and match to their expectations and audit Getty Images on what search functionality is missing or buggy.
First interview was very smooth and easy, only open person - he went over open positions then had, job description and requirements for the candidate and asked me if my skills are matching (and they are).
Second interview (scheduled two weeks later) started 5 minutes late, first interviewer asked me about my experience, which I answered and then second interviewer showed up pretty late (about 15 minutes). I had to explain briefly my experiences again. After that we went into one coding exercise, system design and after that the second interviewer asked me the question for Trapping Water (LeetCode) that I've seen - however I left only with 4 minutes to solve this hard level program. I mentioned that I don't have time for it - however I put together the pseudocode as much as I could. I felt strongly that I passed the interview only to receive the next day that I was "technically weak" - although I went through the system design thoroughly, coding exercises on LeetCode thoroughly and thought that my expertise in relevance is the most important and I elaborated on what's missing on Getty Images site from the search/relevance perspective.
