The interview process began with an unscheduled phone call from the recruiter, who communicated exclusively by phone and never followed up with email, making coordination difficult. I then met with the design team for a friendly conversation, followed by a take‑home “Design Challenge” that required building components, variants, responsive behavior, and polished UI, a time‑intensive assignment closely resembling real product work. After submitting it, I had another interview to review the work, where I was asked additional “what if” scenarios. Despite completing all stages, I received a rejection with no feedback. Afterward, I discovered many candidates had nearly identical experiences, including being ghosted after completing the assignment. The process felt time consuming, unstructured, and misaligned with expectations for a senior level role.
