This was a group "interview", though the only question asked of the 15 or 20 applicants was whether or not we wanted to be rich. It took about two hours for the "interviewer" to tell us how rich and successful he was by describing his lack of education, BMW 7 series, how he bought a whole Salvation Army Angel Tree for his wife for Christmas, the vacations they take, the square footage and mortgage payment amount of their home, etc... All may be true for him but for someone starting out selling life insurance with no prior experience, it seemed like I was the target customer, rather than a prospective team member.
