GoSecure Senior Front-end Developer interview questions

I was contacted by a recruiter who then had me do a phone interview with another person who then approved of me and told me to do a Take Home Test, which I completed, 100%, in a timely manner! The take home test was to take a provided Fruitastic API, basically a JavaScript function, that returned a random list of fruits in an array. The ask was to take that API and make a React app from it, based on a simple mock-up. I completed the Fruitastic API + ReactJS application, and submitted it in. Mid-week, I was messaged on LinkedIn by the same recruiter, who said something like "To continue with your candidature what is your salary range!?" - to which I responded what I made at my last job, and that was it. I was then Ghosted by this company, who basically wasted my time and made me do a project with no intention of going forward. Note, this job was also advertised first as Remote, but after I checked back they had changed it to be located in Montreal only. I would rate them as very incompetent.
