I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Godstone Farm (Godstone, England) in Sept 2024
Interview
Group interview, around 20 people. Had to bring along an object to describe myself and my values, I brought a little house figure with which I said I was welcoming and nurturing. Lasted about an hour, the first half was group questions, facts about ourselves, memories on the farm and working values. Then we did team activities like what we would take on a desert island. In the second half, a few people got sent away as they weren't successful, and the rest of us had one-on-one interviews with the managers. Standard questions about experience, availability and why you want to work for them. I was successful and got a call within a week.

Interview
Applied on the website and then had a group interview with around 15 people, 2 hours long. 1st hour was a group discussion with icebreakers (name, interesting fact) and teamwork tasks. 2nd hour they sent home around 4 or 5 people that they thought wouldn't fit the job and then did 1 to 1's with the rest of us. 1 to 1 was fine, really lovely interviewer. Just general questions about previous experience, achievements, personality and flexibility. The group interview was daunting at first as didn't know there would be so many people but it took the focus away from one singular person as everyone was in the same boat. They ask you in an email beforehand to bring in an object that describes you eg. I brought in a house figurine and said I am welcoming and accommodating.
