      Senior Program Manager Interview

      28 Oct 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gong in Oct 2021

      Interview

For some context, I was in late stages of interviewing with another company when Austin reached out to schedule our initial screening. When I told him about being in later stages with another company, he did everything in his power to make sure the interview process with Gong caught up to where I was at with the other company. In fact, at the end, Gong actually beat them to the punch because Austin moved things along so quickly :) I greatly appreciated not having to be forced into a really tough position of balancing the timing between getting an offer from one company, while trying to wait it out with Gong to see what happens, since Gong was my first choice. During the entire process, Austin was extremely clear, communicative, helpful, and genuinely cared about my experience and what I was looking for when it came to finding a different position. Even though the role itself was what I was looking for, to be honest, my experience during the interview process was what ultimately sold me on coming to Gong. I never once had to wait on pins and needles to hear what was happening, what the next step was, or how the team was feeling about me. I can't express what an amazing feeling that is. Finding a job is so incredibly stressful and Austin made the entire process so seamless that at one point I actually got nervous because I was afraid it was all too good to be true. I have never ever been treated that way by a company before and it's incredibly refreshing. In fact, I didn't even need to take time to think over the offer. I normally am the kind of person who likes to measure out big decisions and think through them a bit more, but I'm so confident that I've made the right choice because of my experience in the interview process, that I accepted immediately. I'm thrilled to be joining a company that puts such an emphasis on making people feel valued. It's the type of culture I'm proud to come work for.
