I interviewed for the role of Senior Director, Customer Support at Gong and I was fortunate to have Austin King as the Recruiter. Austin is probably one of (if not) the best Recruiter I have had the privilege to work with. From the initial screening interview, Austin demonstrated a great knowledge about the role, the team and Gong as a company. He gave compelling answers to the question “why work at Gong?”, the culture of the company and what I would enjoy most about the company if I joined based on his own personal experience and more. Austin was extremely helpful from the onset. For a job at this level that involves many rounds of interviews, he scheduled every interview at my convenience even though one of the Executives was in Israel with a 7 hour time difference and made himself available if I had any questions about the interviewers, their roles while keeping me informed on next steps every time. Austin’s willingness to help candidates succeed is truly exceptional. As an example, when I had issues with my Zoom video during one of my interviews, he readily offered to help me test Zoom before the next interview. I can say without a doubt that Austin is a true professional and epitomizes the Gong value of “Customer Service” which he demonstrated at every juncture during the interview process.
I enjoyed reading your positive feedback about the candidate journey at Gong. We appreciate your kind words and are thrilled to hear that you had a wonderful experience working with our recruiting team. It's great to know you felt fully supported and that our company values were represented during the process! Thanks for interviewing at Gong- Laura Wilson, Head of TA

Interview
Few companies have a great interview process, Gong's is amazing! Working with Austin through the process was painless. He kept me informed of all the processes, next steps, provided insights and suggestions on how to prepare. It was very personalized and even though it did not work out, I learned a few things as a leader on how to better work with people ops teams on how to create a great interview experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I wrote difficult only due to the nature of the role and the build and scale questions that were involved.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Gong (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2023
Interview
Swift, with a lot of personal attention. Very methodical approach from the Executive recruiter, Austin King. He was very transparent from the beginning and even shared pre-conversation details/questions about the company /culture/growth/role and questions around the areas he would be asking me to gather my perspectives based on my experience/background.

Question 1
Austin gave a very good introduction to the company/role/expectations/market opportunity. He paused and allowed me to ask questions after each section. I found him a true ambassador of Gong. He set me up with a great first impression of the company. He demonstrated active listening and showed genuine curiosity in my background. I felt being heard. His transparent, passionate and caring approach was a first witness to the company's values. By the end of our conversation, I felt that I want to work for Gong and be part of the journey.
