I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Goodshop (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2016
Interview
The process was 3 steps: phone interview, in-person portfolio review, and two half days of in-house design challenge (paid spec work). Overall, I really like the team of people I encountered at Goodshop. However, they didn't keep with any of the communicated timetables, and I let some other leads go while waiting to hear a decision (lesson learned). Unfortunately, I think there were some things lost in translation through the recruiters, and I was pretty surprised to hear they went with another candidate.
From application (via recruiter) to declination was 6 weeks.

Question 1
They asked if I was willing to do monotonous tasks.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Goodshop (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2016
Interview
Eight-person round table portfolio review and questions. Lots of focus on marketing writing, although that is not my niche. Friendly people, upbeat environment. All except one had a laptop open the entire time, which was disconcerting. Not much time for my own questions, but it seemed like they wanted someone who could write a broad range of materials. Overall easy and fast interview.

Question 1
Several questions about the strategy for marketing materials that I hadn't had any part in (I only wrote the copy). Seemed unclear that my focus is entirely on the copy, not the project management.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Goodshop (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2016
Interview
The interviewer was very kind, easy to talk to, and open about the position. Very open to answering questions (which is useful once you read some of the negative employee reviews on here). Easy interview over the phone, in person was also simple. Only a little time was spent speaking with hiring manager and it was more of a 'chat' than interview, then went on to sit with two different curators as they showed me their daily responsibilities.

Question 1
Are you okay with a lot of the work being mundane?
