I interviewed for a contract HR role as a maternity leave replacement. The initial conversation was positive, and I felt that my background aligned well with the responsibilities discussed. However, after the interview, I did not receive any follow-up or feedback despite reaching out multiple times. Eventually, I noticed that my application status was changed in their HR system without any direct communication. The lack of response and closure felt disappointing and unprofessional from a candidate experience perspective.
