I applied online. I interviewed at Greater Good Health in Oct 2024
Interview
I recently interviewed for a position at Greater Good Health and was disappointed by the misleading salary information presented during the hiring process. Initially, the job board advertised a competitive salary, but during the interview, I learned that the situation was quite different.
I was informed that while in training, I would receive $23 per hour, which seemed promising. However, I soon discovered that after 90 days, my pay would be reduced to $20 per hour. What’s more, I would then have to meet specific performance goals to potentially earn up to $24.40. If I failed to meet these goals, I would remain at the lower rate of $20, which feels unjust, especially considering the current economic climate.
This structure creates a precarious financial situation, as one’s paycheck could fluctuate drastically month to month while fixed expenses remain constant. It raises serious concerns about how employees are expected to manage their living costs under such conditions. Overall, I find this approach to compensation misleading and unsustainable. I would advise potential candidates to be cautious and seek clarity on salary structures before accepting any offers.
