Had a recruiter call and a hiring manager call. Recruiter call was very informal and the recruiter genuinely had no idea what the role entailed. The recruiter wasn't an internal resource (they use agencies) but they were completely unprepared and unprofessional. The hiring manager was a similar flavor of unprofessional. The hiring manager was the head of marketing and, for some reason, she couldn't seem to answer what her top priorities were for the role. She also didn't really have many questions prepared and did little to actually assess my expertise or my experience. She just kept repeating that she's not a technical person and that she just needs someone to "do all the technical stuff" for her. I got the feeling that, if I were to fill the role, I'd be doing a lot of managing up. So after leaving the interview underwhelmed and disappointed, I was promptly ghosted for about 3 months and got an automated rejection email after I had completely forgotten I had interviewed for this awful role. Genuinely would not recommend this role to anyone.
