Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- 1st round: Discussion around resume, tell me about a challenging project you've worked on, difference between rabbitmq and kafka, binary search DSA problem(leetcode hard)
- 2nd round: High level system design, design analytics platform for a video streaming service, collect, metrics to show: sec by sec engagement Freq of a video, average bitrate, type of client, width and height of video player. This should be done by collecting all the events emitted by the video player, every event should make a post request to the analytics platform. The main challenge is to store the events for efficient querying, OLAP databases like clickhouse is good for aggregation on large datasets. Other questions: how does jwt tokens work, what should be the ideal expiry time(in the context of banking applications), do you know about GIL in python (Global Interpreter lock).
