      HEB Cashier Interview

      20 Jun 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Spring, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      I applied online. I interviewed at H E B (Spring, TX) in Feb 2011

      Interview

They'll start you off with a group interview, fairly generic stuff. In some cases the group is given paper and drawing material (no joke) and asked to draw out the answers to questions. You're called back for a second or hired on the spot, depending on the competition for the position.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions weren't too difficult, it was all about how you'd treat customers in high stress scenarios.

      Anonymous employee
      Houston, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I applied online. I interviewed at H E B (Houston, TX) in Jun 2016

      Interview

Two step interview. First a group interview and then a one on one with the store director. I was at first very scary. After you finish they will give you a call back to see if you have made it to the 2nd round. Then you meet with the store director and if she likes you then you have a job!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked you to sell this HEB product. It was easy since you were in a group but also odd since HEB is not in retail and a cashier doesn't need to sell anything on a regular basics.
