HCLTech Senior Android Developer interview questions

Interview for L1 and L2 took for 2-3 weeks, asked about Kotlin, Jetpack compose, Got selected for both rounds and was about to receive the offer. But client was expecting the Angular Js as the app includes the hybrid programming. Client has to put hold me because of this. My question is if client wants to include the Angular Js as the skill why he wants to have the kotlin and jetpack compose as the skills, its just wasting the time of employee
