      Quality Assurance Interview

      17 Dec 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Sugar Land, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at HCSS (Sugar Land, TX)

      Interview

Interviewers were pleasant and the questions were very much revolved around testing and testing techniques used at my previous employment. There was a portion testing my testing skills during the interview over one of their products, but it wasn't meant to be tricky - just to test my skills.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Explain how you would break up testing a new feature? What type of testing did you do at your current job? What are some qualities you feel make you a good candidate as a QA?

      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HCSS (Sugar Land, TX) in Mar 2015

      Interview

The interview process starts off with a really brief interview via the phone. The next step is the face to face interview where you have to start off by taking a simple math test, then there is simple QA test where you try to find all the different bugs in a program to see your aptitude. Next is a one on one interview with the head of HR. Finally there is an interview with the head of the Quality Assurance department.

      Question 1

How well do you work in a team and how adaptable are you.

      Declined offer
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HCSS (Sugar Land, TX) in Oct 2013

      Interview

Applied online and you are immediately asked to complete an online assessment test. Mostly 8th grade math questions. A few days later HR reaches out to you to ask some basic behavioral and background questions. You are then brought in for an interview onsite with a number of people. However before that is another assessment test this time with 6th grade math. When you get to the interviews, questions mostly are focused on your background and typical behavioral questions (Why this company, What achievements, difficulties, etc). You interview with the CEO/President of the company as well.
