I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at HSBC (Hong Kong) in Dec 2017
Interview
I was contacted by the HR and conducted a phone interview for around 20 minutes. A week later I received an email for the group interview (around 10 candidates). First, I had to finish a written test in English. Followed by a brief self-introduction to the interviewers and then the group discussion on 2 case studies. The interviewers would challenge some of our comments/suggestions during the group discussion.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HSBC (Hong Kong) in Oct 2015
Interview
I have applied to other role in HSBC, but not AML. Agent called me if I am interested in this role. No assessment, no phone interview. Go straight to interview with the department manager. Manager was really nice. It was more like a conversation than a formal interview. Ask about what do you know about AML, my work experience and give me a scenarios to analysis and ask for me opinion.
Read the news before go to the interview. HSBC has involved in the AML case which are penalty for not following the rules and pay millions of dollars to the US government.
