I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC in Dec 2023
Interview
Smooth process, had 2 stages, both physical, met the full team and was tested on technicals. Mostly on whether I was willing to learn and put in the effort. I had to go through a round with HR on checks too.

Interview
Spoke to the head of the team as a first round and then to the team members on the second. Both had technical and social aspects - but all were genuine and not punitive on any errors made.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (Shanghai, Shanghai)
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter and arranged for interview a week later in their Shanghai office. The role is with their Private Banking Group. I had two rounds, first with the hiring manager, second with the head in Shanghai. The hiring manager was pretty nice. No hard questions, basically ask about my past experience and introduced their business. We talked for an hour or so. The head was nice too. And second interview was scheduled in late afternoon since the head was very busy. It didn't last long, about 30 min.
