I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (Bengaluru) in Jan 2016
Interview
Interview was very technical lasted for about 1.5 hrs and covered all major areas. Interview was taken by london associate , was very to the point queries and dig deep into some of the areas
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HSBC (Pune) in Oct 2021
Interview
HSBC HR called me to ask preliminary questions and scheduled an interview.
HR was polite and cooperative in rescheduling the interview. She did discuss prior on buyback option so that it won't affect the hiring process.
During Interview Interviewer asked me to solve the problem in JS which we used to solve at the university level as a fresher.
I understand each organization have a different way of hiring people, where I was accepting a lot of aggressive React question and live scenarios to be solved, I was given a small coding problem to be judged.
Also at the start, there was no formal introduction asked, I only told him should I introduce myself and my experience.
Overall a neutral experience but it could have been more of a React interview rather than code solving problems.
