Interview
Frontend focus. First, an online assessment with a portion dedicated to outdated multiple choice questions. Live coding round with an e-commerce type React app you need to debug. Salary range is low too.

Question 1
1. Online take home assessment with 3 parts (JS, multiple choice, React)
2. Debug this React app
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at HackerRank in Feb 2025
Interview
Applied online and received a link to an online assessment to complete on their platform the next day. As mentioned by others it consisted of 3 parts (JavaScript, React multiple choice, React project) with an allotment of 90 minutes to complete. If you choose to apply, be prepared for all of the invasive, proctored nonsense that comes with this. You're required to give ongoing webcam access and window management control to HackerRank for the duration of the assessment. Even if you can get passed the dystopian nature of this in principle, it seems like a pointless baseline to measure by as it creates unrealistic conditions in which no programmer would ever actually work (i.e. someone watching them and not allowing them to looking anything up).

Question 1
Do you consent to us recording you taking the online assessment and then passing the recording off to an AI program that will determine if you cheated or not?
