I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Halfaker and Associates (Arlington, VA) in Dec 2018
Interview
Contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. After a brief phone screen, the recruiter scheduled a phone interview with a senior business analyst. The interviewer was pretty laid back; questions were mostly related to my resume and my experience dealing with difficult clients. The second-round interview was on-site in their Arlington office with a scum master, project manager, and the same senior BA. It was surprisingly brief; was asked about my knowledge of Agile roles/principles, how I overcame difficulties in past projects, etc. Pretty standard questions, nothing too challenging or out of the blue. If you've been on any software project in a client-side/BA role, just be prepared to talk about the SDLC (Agile or Waterfall) and how you facilitated the development process through requirements gathering, managing user stories, etc. The recruiter contacted me a few days later to offer me the position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time that you had to deal with a difficult client.
Interview was a joke. Lasted 15 minutes. No real solid questions, just a background of the job and my review of my resume. It was a joke. Interviewer seemed like he hated his job, very angry person.
