Interviews a few months ago. It was pleasant. But never heard back from them. I even asked when they might make a decision but the interview team said that was a HR decision. They were just the screening team.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Hawaii Community College (Hilo, HI) in Feb 2016
Interview
Transcripts and resume provided. Custom designed course development took place over a series of months during my Master's Degree coursework and final project development. As an alumni, I did utilize my connections and existing relationships to faciliate this process. I have nothing but good things to say about HawCC. I simply have large student loans to pay and need a main income source in addition to this part time job as an instructor.

Question 1
What is your understanding of place based culture?
I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Hawaii Community College (Hilo, HI)
Interview
Applied online and did not hear back until 6 months later. I assumed I got filtered out by HR so imagine my surprise when they finally got around to set up an interview! Definitely on Hawaiian time...
First interview was a panel format with 4 or 5 people. They had about 6 or so personality type questions (e.g.: how do you react to stress? how do you handle irate customers? etc.) that they took turns asking. It was scripted and apparently they were not allowed to stray from it. It was a good experience and all involved were pretty jovial and fun.
Then I waited...and waited...one whole month before I was contacted for a second interview. This time it was one on one with an administrator. Who also taught Cisco stuff. He grilled me a bit on technical stuff.
And then I waited...and waited again...I finally called after two weeks and was told that no decision had been made yet. So I waited another two weeks before calling back. Still no decision. The week after that they called me with an offer.
