Haworth Senior Visual Design & User Experience Lead interview questions

Recruiter reached out. The interview started process was pretty standard, interview with recruiter, then manager, HR, then creative director. Discussed my portfolio, the position, seemed positive overall. After 4 interviews they asked me to do a design project. It took several weeks of my asking to get the assignment (redesign homepage) and then the company ghosted. I expected some delays since this was over the holidays, so I didn't pick up on the red flag that it took so long to get the project, and I understand it can be difficult to respond to every candidate, but completely no response after sending over several hours of work and a detailed explanation was fairly unexpected and inconsiderate.
