I interviewed at Healthcare Claims Management (Myrtle Beach, SC)
Interview
Waiting on HR to call me back. I did not get a call for 6 weeks and I had taken another position. I had been told they would call at the end of the week, but 6 weeks later a person named Jennifer called. I was already onboarding.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Healthcare Claims Management
Interview
Interview was going well until asking about the pay i was looking for. I have a bachelors degree and was asking for a minimum of $20/hr. The interviewer then seemed to be shuffling as if i asked for ‘too much.’ Even though the minimum requirements were a high school diploma, some EMR system experience and customer service. The minimum a college graduate should be paid is $20 and even that was a pay cut from what i was making before. It was embarrassing on behalf of them that i was told the pay range was $15+ “based on experience.” I understand that this isn’t on the interviewer, but the company should re-evaluate its pay ranges because no one can live off of anything less than $20/hr, let alone $15/hr for a professional role that is expected to have growth within the company.
