      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Heartland Services (Leawood, KS) in Oct 2016

      Interview

Easy going, Laid back. Got to be real with the person interviewing, felt comfortable. Interview lasted around an hour, Walked in the front door and was greeted by a happy staff. Very helpful in letting me know what I needed to fill out before the interview took place. After paper work was filled out a employee kindly let me know where the best place to sit was. Overall great experience and happy with the outcome.

      Question 1

Well it's a company that works on PD and Military units so they wanted to know if I was a felon. Seems like a good question to me.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Heartland Services (Leawood, KS) in Jul 2013

      Interview

I received a phone call just one day after submitting my resume online via Monster. It was a brief, 30-minute call where he sat down and asked basic questions such as what I was looking for and why I applied. At the end of the phone call, he concluded by saying he'd like to schedule an official interview, which was approximately one week from that phone call. When I went in to interview, I was greeted by the Administrators in the front of the building, who had me fill out a basic application while they paged for the supervisor. After I finished the paperwork, they had me wait in the interview office for about 15 minutes before the supervisor showed up. He was very polite, intelligent, and easy to speak with. The interview itself was fairly unorthodox compared to what I've done in the past, and was mostly driven by myself, followed by some questions he had prepared. I asked about the job (what I'd be doing, expectations, pay, etc), the history of the company, the make-up of the business (age, hobbies, etc), and what some of the core values of the company were. The supervisor answered all my questions, and did not appear to hesitate and knew what he was talking about. He then began to ask me some questions that we had touched upon during our phone interview. Reiterating why I had applied, where I hoped to be in the next few years, my work attitude (attendance, mentality, etc), and if I had reliable transportation. He also asked for a copy of my resume, so be sure to have that handy, as he'll ask you questions directly from it (such as explaining any certifications and work history). When he was done asking questions, he had me wait in the room while he found the manager, who then also asked some of the same questions to get to know me. After the manager had finished with his questions, he found the supervisor again who concluded the interview by saying it would be 1-2 weeks before I'd hear back, we shook hands, and I left. About 1 week later, I received another phone call where I was offered a job and told what my pay would be if I accepted.

      Interview

In depth interview. The supervisor i interviewed with went through every positive and negative thing he could think of about the company. He had been with the company for a long time and even started in the position i applied for.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked a lot questions about me as a person, not as much about my technical abilities. He made it seem like they really valued the hiring "good" people and valued family.
