The interview was casual but informative. The second interview was purposeful and helpful in making a decision to accept a job. The overall interview process was productive. It also provided the opportunity to see the team in a typical day setting and laid clear expectations of the day to day operations.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Heavy Hammer (Annapolis, MD) in Jun 2019
Interview
I interviewed with the hiring manager and the manager. I saw shown around the different areas of the office, given the opportunity to listen to 2 phone calls in real-time, and then completed the interview. After the interview, I spoke with the manager and it was a good experience. I regret not asking questions when they asked me if i had any. I always say that as optional until I did some research on my own and found out that they view that portion as a representative of how invested you are in working at that company.

Interview
Interview was casual. Asked a lot of the usual questions like what makes you want to work for us?, are you aware of our products? etc. Company is based on a software patent from 1999, and they have since fired all software development staff. Appears all they do is sales at this point. They are now rebuilding their tech i suppose. Red flags everywhere. Job was posted at Jr. Dev rate of 45k/year. When I asked for that I was told they could get some college kid to do it for $10 an hour. Not sure why I was there.
