I applied via indeed and then had a virtual interview via Zoom with two staff members from Hill House. The interview went well and I was offered the job. However, I was offered minimum wage, $15/hour, $412.50 per week before taxes to work as a Kiddie Kamp counselor, despite having 10 years of experience working as an Early Educator, two college degrees, and the listed pay range being $412–$550 per week. After being told during the interview that all of their camp counselors were college graduates, I was a little taken back by the fact that the pay was so low, people working in retail literally get more than that. While I did try to negotiate the pay, as I was really interested in the position, I was told that there was no room for negotiation, so I declined.
