I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Hillsboro Aero Academy (Hillsboro, OR) in Jun 2017
Interview
Submitted an inquiry through the website and received a call back within a few hours. Head recruiter discussed the compensation package, benefits and incentives with me. She was very thorough and answered all my questions then began asking me questions. The pre-screen took about 20 minutes and included questions about my flight training experience and whether I did my training part 141 or 61 and what type students I was working with and also about my goals. I interviewed in June 2017 over Skype. The first 30 minutes of the interview was about my flight training and standard interview questions and the next 30 was teaching a few lessons. I accepted the position after a few weeks after exploring other options. HAA was the best fit for me. So far I am pleased with the hours I’ve built including IMC time but am looking forward to getting over to haa’s new central Oregon Location to keep up the momentum from summer.
