I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hilti Group (Singapore) in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview process was straightforward and focused mainly on my technical skills, project experience, and suitability for the role. It included a discussion about my background, past development projects, backend and full stack experience, and how I approach problem-solving. The interviewer also asked about my experience with .NET, APIs, databases, cloud services, and production support. Overall, the process was professional and gave me a clear understanding of the role expectations.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One thing they asked me was about my project experience, especially how I handled backend development, API integration, and troubleshooting issues in production. They wanted to understand how I solve problems in real work situations, not just my technical knowledge.

Interview
Very challenging and detailed, questions ranging from personal to technical level. Required to answer quickly, share screen on your projects. Sometimes required to do coding on the spot. So better prepare beforehand. But the interviewers are very kind and soft

Interview
The interview process felt less structured than expected for a technical role. The conversation lacked a clear flow, and the questions did not consistently align with the job description or the skills required for the position.
In several moments, it seemed the interviewers were not fully prepared with a defined technical evaluation framework. The discussion focused more on their internal experiences than on assessing the candidate’s actual capabilities. Because of this, there was limited opportunity to demonstrate relevant skills.
Additionally, some role-related functional concepts were not fully understood by the panel, which made it challenging to maintain a productive technical conversation. A more knowledgeable or specialized interviewer would help candidates present their experience more effectively.
Overall, the process would benefit greatly from clearer structure, more role-relevant technical questions, and better alignment between the panel’s expertise and the job expectations.
