I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hines
Interview
I applied to this position through a recruiter. I had a phone interview and two in person interviews, one with the hiring manager and one with the hiring manager plus the operations manager. The interviewers were easy to talk with, and the questions were pretty straight forward. All thru out the process I was given the impression that they were interested in me for the position. I received a verbal offer from them and about a wee later and accepted the next day. They delayed getting the paperwork to me and then a couple days later rescinded the offer with a lame excuse.

Question 1
If you got the position, what would you do your first day?
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Hines (New York, NY) in Sept 2021
Interview
I interviewed for the Staff Accountant position in the NYC location with Vida Barco. The company had me do multiple rounds of video interviews (3) which I feel were fairly simple as I already had property management experience and understood the terminology in the industry. However, this company completely wasted my time by saying they will give me an update within a week of my last interview after I followed up with them, but it has been 3 weeks so far without a response. I would not recommend this company as they don't even seem to value potential candidates.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself, What did you do in your last role, why are you looking to switch jobs, biggest strengths, biggest weakness, where do you see yourself in __ years
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hines in Aug 2021
Interview
I heard nothing but amazing things about working for Hines from friends and family. My two interviews with the smaller subsidiary for the position were very laid back, easy, and friendly. I was genuinely looking forward to the job, coworkers, and managers.
I had a family tragedy come up between the first and second interviews, which put a lot of uncertainty in my life. I feel like I was extremely transparent with the recruiter (that worked for Hines Central - Global) of my situation, and I would absolutely keep him up to date. However, he suddenly became very direct, asking me if this position is what I really wanted, he needs to know that, or I need to make other decisions because he has other candidates on the list. If this is how Hines handles personal issues, this company is not for me.
Not what I would consider a "Hines" experience by any means. In the end, I was relieved I was not offered the position.

Interview
Someone scheduled a phone interview with me ask about my previous experience. The interviewer interrupted my answers a few times. At the end of the interview the interviewer told me that they mistakenly applied my information and thought that I was applying for another position which I am not interested in. They said I am not qualified for the Staff Accountant position that I originally applied for and ended the call quickly.
