I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Hinge in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process was as described on their careers page, and each step was clearly explained ahead of time by the People Ops team. It included an initial call with an internal Talent Acquisition Partner, then an asynchronous technical screen on CodeSignal, then a call with the Hiring Manager, then two more live technical screens with two people each, and a final culture interview with two team members. I am not yet located in NYC, so it was all over the phone and Zoom. The whole process felt smooth, professional, and intentional.

Interview
It was a very smooth and structured process. Once you pass the recruiter phone screen, they give you very detailed information about what to expect next.
- Recruiter phone screen
- Online coding assessment
- Hiring manager round
- No take-home assignment
- Technical round (2 interviews)
- Culture interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hinge (New York, NY) in Nov 2024
Interview
Five interviews, five stages:
* Recruitment Screen
* Hiring Manager
* Take-home technical
* Two 1 hr technicals
* Culture
My recruiter and coordinator were wonderful. Honestly, everyone was super personable, and that stood out over plenty of other companies with whom I interviewed this season. Take-home technical was timed, though you have a whole day and it took me a little over an hour. Next, in-person questions start general and get detailed. It felt collegial and earnest. Importantly, my interviewers all were conversational so it wasn't the stiff, awkward silence of someone watching write code. All-around great experience. Received and happily accepted the offer. Excited to join the team!
