I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Duncan, BC)
Interview
New method of hiring, first on-line screening. Then got a call for an interview which was six standard customer relations questions. However the final step is a subcontracted out source to screen references. As a result, I did not get the job as I was building my house before I applied, thus I did not have the 3 required checks. Go figure... With this new system they are sure to loose out on great people that know tools and construction...? Oh well that's corporation dis-connect for you. Make sure you got the 3 references, that's really all that seems to count. and don't be overqualified, it scares the kids there.

Interview
Applied online. After a couple days I got a phone call from HR the call ended with them saying that my resume will be forwarded to the specific location I applied to for them to schedule an interview. About a week later they called again and scheduled an interview. The interview was pretty standard and my answers were written down in a booklet. About two weeks later I got an email saying I didn't get the job.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (London, ON) in Jul 2016
Interview
3 step process:
Phone interview, interview with department manager, store manager interview (job offered in the 3rd)
They will contact both of your references.
They ask a very uniform set of questions from an interview package.
I found it to be pretty relaxed, it is really important to them to hire someone fit for the team, but they are all incredibly friendly so the interview wasn't stressful.
