      Senior IOS Engineer Interview

      30 Apr 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Homebound (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2026

      Interview

I was not impressed with the interview experience. The initial recruiter call started late and felt rushed and disjointed. It lasted like 8 minutes. The conversation didn’t flow naturally, and I often felt like I needed to prompt for next steps or even ask if I could ask questions. When I did ask questions, the responses felt brief and cold. Overall, it didn’t feel like a very welcoming or engaging candidate experience. In fact, it was a little bizarre. After the call, I followed up via email and received a response about a week later stating they would not be moving forward in the process. I completely understand and respect that decision. This is more of a note to the team: the recruiting experience could benefit from a bit more structure and warmth, as it sets the tone for how candidates perceive the company.
