I applied in-person. I interviewed at Hudson River Trading (New York, NY)
Interview
Whatever you say gets entered into a database that is visible to the whole company forever.
The comments in the database are from the handful of people you talked to for an hour each and are quite slanderous.
The upside of actually getting the job is nowhere near the cost of having these libelous remarks published about you to hundreds of people in your industry.
Don't ever talk to Hudson River Trading. It's not worth it.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hudson River Trading (New York, NY) in Apr 2026
Interview
First round was a unproctored codesignal with three questions. Then a live Coderpad for one question. Then a one hour technical with coding and system design. Then an onsite interview
The test was 3 questions on Code Signal, with the difficulty level of Leetcode medium to hard. The questions were about string manipulation/ graphs/ backtracking algorithms. Time limit of 2 hours, very tight on time.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hudson River Trading in Oct 2022
Interview
received online assessment on codesignal first; followed by a phone interview with an algo engineer at HRT, overall experience is okay, the interviewer is quite nice. Got rejection 3 days after the phone interview.
