Attempting to complete this interview was a surprisingly disorganized experience. I initially received an email asking me to schedule a virtual interview through Calendly, which I promptly did. However, I was then contacted multiple times via text and phone by the recruiter—again asking me to schedule the same interview. I reached out for clarification, and she confirmed with nothing more than a “thumbs-up” reaction to my message.
On the day of the interview, I received a message two hours before my scheduled time stating that it needed to be rescheduled because a meeting was running over. I found it odd that she knew the meeting would overrun so far in advance, especially since it should have been visible when she first confirmed my interview slot. She offered three alternative days, two of which weren’t even available on her Calendly. I selected the only valid option—only to later receive a cancellation notice and a new meeting invitation for a completely different date and time that I had neither requested nor approved.
Despite the confusion, I decided to proceed to avoid further delays. The business day prior to the new interview, I reached out to confirm the date and time, which the recruiter verified. I logged into Teams a few minutes early on the day of the interview and waited ten minutes past the scheduled start time. No one ever joined, so I eventually logged off. Unfortunately, it ended up being a complete waste of two weeks of my time.
