I applied online. I interviewed at Hurricane Electric (Fremont, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
Starts with a Basic Programming and Basic Math Test. If you pass this, they will also give you an English and Vocabulary Test. You will need to meet with the HR person who will go over your resume.
After this, you will need to submit your transcripts and SAT scores. Then comes the programming interview!

Interview
One of their staff contacted me about coming on site to take a basic skills test. It was like 150-200 questions. NOTHING PROGRAMMING RELATED.
After reading the reviews here I spent 4 days learning Perl, and of course, no Perl. I was given a grammar test, a simple math test (Algebra 1) and a simple mechanics test that a middle schooler could pass.
This was 7 weeks ago, no one has reached back out to me. I'm confident I scored above 90% on the test. Don't waist your time here. Don't go.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hurricane Electric (Fremont, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
Applied on Craigslist, got an email 2 days later asking me to come in for a screening test. It had simple programming questions and networking definitions/acronyms. After I finished I talked to someone a bit about the company. Since I finished fast enough I was able to take the next test the same day, which was an odd set of questions you can't really study. I was told to send in my SAT and ACT scores as well as my high school and college transcripts. I was called in a week later for the final interview, and that was someone telling me a lot about the company, and then doing some simple coding exercises.
