I applied online for an open role as a Technical Account Manager with Hyperion Managed Services and was contacted by a young lady wanting to set up a phone interview with me.
During the call you could tell this person was totally out of their element and just did a basic Google search for "questions to ask during an interview" and clicked the first link that popped up as all of her questions were super generic and really didn't even pertain to the job we were discussing.
I had a few questions of my own such as what the salary expectations including benefit packages offered were, if they allowed the option to work remotely at all, and how many clients would I have assigned to me all to which she froze up and had no answers to.
I get it, you may be thrown a curveball question every now and then that you do not know the answer to which is fine, but not knowing some of the basics just makes your company look bad. She told me she'd check with the owner and get back to me by the end of the following day and I never heard back from her. After a few days passed I emailed her again for a follow up to which I still have not received a response to. It has been over a week now.
All in all I just got this very unprofessional vibe in regards to the company from the interview to the lack of communication.
