I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at IDEX (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2019
Interview
My interview process was different than the rest of the candidates. I got a referral from a friend working there. I got an initial phone interview with the HR, standard interview questions. Then I got invited to the super day, they flew me to the HQ in IL and had a dinner with other finalist candidates and the executives on the first day. Second day, was 6 interviews back to back with team leaders one question each (speed dating style) all behavioral.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Phone interview, tell me about yourself, adjectives to describe yourself and some behavioral. Second round of interviews was all behavioral (tell me about a time when...etc.) use STAR method.
I applied online. I interviewed at IDEX in Apr 2026

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at IDEX (Deerfield, IL) in Mar 2026
Interview
The first interview was a 45 min teams meeting. The second and final interview was on site for 3-hours! After the final round, I was asked to submit references. I submitted references the following day, all my references were called. Three weeks went by with no communication. Finally, upon inquiring again I was informed that the position was filled internally. Horrible communication and no respect for candidates time.
My interview experience with Idex was excellent. The process was very professional and timely, with clear communication at every step. I felt comfortable asking questions, including those about diversity and company culture, and my questions were met with thoughtful, transparent answers. Overall, it was a positive and welcoming experience that reflected Idex’s commitment to both professionalism and inclusivity.
