I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at IHOP (Port Coquitlam, BC) in Nov 2013
Interview
Dropped off a resume in person, called me back within a few days and scheduled an interview. Interview was pretty easy, supervisor was nice enough. Later found out that he wanted to hired me because, of my looks. He said to one of the cooks "She's pretty hot." I was 15 at the time and found that pretty creepy and disturbing, he was in his mid-30s I'm guessing.
After my interview they called me the next day and offered me a job.

I applied online. I interviewed at IHOP (Durham, NC) in Aug 2019
Interview
It was a relaxing one on one chat between me and the employer and while asking and answering in polite and calm manner there was a lot of ice breaking that made the interview more manageable.
