      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at IRS (Jacksonville, FL) in Oct 2019

      Interview

I applied online at usajobs.gov for the IRS recent graduate pathways program. About 4 months later, I got a call/ email to set up a phone interview. About 2 weeks later I completed a phone interview with 3 people on the line. About 1 week later I was offered the position. the day after I accepted the position online, I was set to do fingerprinting. No in person interview.

      Interview questions [3]

      Question 1

The questions were a lot of situational and how you would handle type. The interviewers took turn reading out semi long questions and then ask you to respond. My advice while during the interview is to remember safety is always a priority, always do the right thing, and to say it the nicest way possible: it is does not matter what the situation/ reason/ excuse the taxpayer still needs to pay (set up payment arrangements). One question was you do a field visit. The location is in a good neighborhood, it looks like they are living beyond there means, you interview the wife. The wife starts crying and saying that her son is handicap and she cant loose her house because her son has to attend the school he goes to because of his handicap. What would you do?

      Question 2

Your manager requested that you create a template that all the revenue officers will use. You are not allowed to do overtime, it will be due in 7 days, and you need to complete this solo. What would you do?

      Question 3

You set up a interview at a house. When you get to the house the man tells you to come in and you proceed to the dining table to conduct interview. At this point you see that he is wearing an ankle monitor. What do you do?
