      Interview

I only had the initial phone interview with the hiring manager. Which she was pleasant and I enjoyed our conversation. I get the sense they weren't really looking for entry level as job was advertised and knew it was unlikely I would move forward. My issue is that I still haven't even received a rejection email. This phone interview happened over a month ago and still nothing. I sent a follow-up thank you note and a follow-up check-in email a week later about the status of my application with no reply. The practice of "ghosting" candidates is extremely tacking and in my opinion unethical. I do work in recruiting so I understand people get busy and I also understand how easy it is to send a canned rejection email. I think candidate experience, even if you're rejecting someone, should really be focused on. The entire company and brand is effected if poor candidate experience is had. I mostly am writing this review to encourage the company to not continue leaving candidates in the dark. Even if you just had an introductory call. It's disrespectful. I would have never had a bad taste in my mouth about the experience if I would have been given feedback or at the very least a rejection notification. Being left in the dark has left me with a very bad taste.
