This company is run by ex-SpaceX bros, so you can imagine what type of employee they're looking to capitalize on.
Despite having literally every bullet point of the job requisition covered quite subsantially, I was not invited for a second interview. This is fine, as hiring managers see what they want in your resume - I guess I wasn't the right fit. Maybe too experienced? Not enough nuanced experience? You can never tell - that's not the point.
What bothered me about this interview process was the fake sentiment provided by the recruiter. During our call, she seemed very warm and pleasant (as most recruiters do). But she kept iterating that if I had any questions or needed anything that I could "reach out" to her either by email or phone.
The problem with her notion is that 1) she never provided her actual email, 2) she never technically provided me her phone number either. So after a week of not hearing anything I DID try and reach out by texting the number that she called me at, just checking to see if there had been any developments on my app. Then a couple days later I received, the usual rejection email where they thank you for applying. I still have to this day not received a reply back from the recruiter, who seemed all too friendly and willing on the phone. It just speaks to the fake sentiment of the place - which I can only assume permeates into all aspects of working there (obvs. based on this limited experience).
