To truly understand how unprofessional the interview process was, a little bit of context: the CEO reached out to me personally, trying to recruit me, and sent over a job description offering six-figure salary. The job location and compensation interested me, so I replied, and we set up an interview.
On the day of the interview, the CEO showed up an hour late, dressed in a hoodie and sweatpants, like he just woke up. We started chatting about my experience as normal, and then a light bulb goes off in the CEO's head that I'm more suited for another role. We cease talking about the role I was actually interested in and an interview I actually prepared for, and start talking about this other role. The interview ends early, then the CEO sends me the new job role, including a description and offer. The job is now an entirely different function with different responsibilities, located in a different country, and the pay is now low five figures.
Incredibly unprofessional and a total waste of time. If this is any indication of how the company is run and how it treats its people with a total disregard for their needs and their time, and sees everything from what THEY can get out of it, stay far far away from this company.
